Interesting that you were brought up Christian and then became agnostic. So was I, and so did I. Then I realised that Jesus replaced all the old commandments with, basically, love one another. That's the way I try to live now. Full stop. If all the right wing Christians actually read the bible they'd realise that being LBGTQ is fine, but being racist, sexist, oppressive or unkind is absolutely not. God loves everyone, just the way they are. It's a shame so many so called Christians do not.
You're spot on about the Twitter woke mob. Just so out of touch with everyday life and people, and so narcissistic. Twitter itself does nothing but encourage it.
I got suspended there today because I told @smod4real, Sweet Meteor of Death, a satire account, that he should immolate himself in a sun, and that, apparently, was encouraging suicide.
The entire platform is run by, and most of it seems filled by, people with no perspective and no sense of humor. Which is unfortunate, as it can be a very useful tool for spreading news, information, and opinion when everyday folk use it.
Yep that's the frustration I have. It is very useful. It's just also very awful a lot of the time. The structure of it is perfect for getting news but also perfect for an infinite number of detached threads going nowhere fast...

Yeah man, I'm a big fan of Jesus, just not the church / organized religion aspect of it all where everyone seems to forget that very basic tenet.
