I think the irony here is the die hard right loves to condemn the left as fragile snowflakes while also getting their Jimmy's all rustled over children's books and cartoon characters. You're spot on that this was a decision made by a private corporation to stop publishing a product that no longer represented their values and that should be respected most of all by the capitalism loving right.
