Part of the idea of racial equality should be that anyone can be a hero OR a villain- if all races are fundamentally human and brothers, that means we can all be good or bad. If this was a movie with two Latin heroes against a white villain, it would probably go over completely without notice to you.
Now, it could be quite possible that the film ends up portraying Banderas's character as some grossly offensive stereotype of a Hispanic man on the level of a 60's Western, but I doubt that will be the case (although I have no doubt there will be SOMEONE on social media who whines about it, because someone whines on social media about everything under the sun.)
