So far as I can tell, not a single person is currently in federal prison for simple possession of marijuana. This will free no one. The majority of fed possession convictions are actually undocumented persons in the US illegally. If you read the executive order, these offenders are specifically exempted from the pardon. Basically this is peak Joe Biden. Don't give him credit for this utterly meaningless gesture. It's meant to win Twitter for a day, not reform our demonically evil criminal justice system.
