Win $100 And Support Charity In The First Ever DIABOLICAL Screenshot Contest!

Today I’m announcing the first ever diabolical Screenshot Art Contest. Enter to win some $$$ and support Extra Life, a video game charity that helps kids in need.

This is the first of what I hope will be many contests here at diabolical as well as our first foray into some charity—though certainly not the last. I’ll be hosting more charity drives/events here and at my YouTube channel. We can talk all we want about making the world a better place, but actions speak louder than words.

How it works.

We all love video games…or at least many of us do. I assume many of my readers do (though my TV/movie readers will enjoy a different contest later this year).

The rules are simple:

• The contest starts today, July 8th and runs for 4 weeks through Thursday August 5th.

• You need to be subscribed to my Substack or to my YouTube channel to enter. (You should probably also follow me on Twitter or Facebook, but that has no bearing on the contest results).

• Send me a screenshot that you took of a game that you love. Include a very brief description that includes the game title and why you love the game. You can include why the screenshot matters to you, or simply describe what the screenshot is of—whatever you want. Keep it short.

• Include Screenshot Contest 2021 Submission in the subject line of the email. Please do this or I might miss your submission.

• Send all submissions to erik.kain.writer@gmail.com. You can only submit one screenshot. Keep it family friendly enough to be posted on a family friendly Substack.

• You need to be able to receive the prize money in order to qualify—which means have a PayPal, Venmo or some other similar service and be able to receive money from the United States. If you’re unable to receive the prize money, you will be disqualified. You can still sign up for the contest, you just can’t win.

• Obviously this is not open to anyone I am personally involved with either professionally or as a friend or family member.

• The winners, and runners-up, will be announced here on August 9th.

The Prizes

Now on to the good stuff. The prizes are:

• First Place: $100

• Second Place: $50

• Third Place: $25

• Runners-up: Your screenshot in the runners-up section of the winner announcement post and the warm fuzzy feeling that engenders.

An equal amount ($175) will be donated to the Children’s Miracle Hospital Network via Extra Life.

The contest starts now and will run 4 weeks, ending on Friday August 5th, 2021. I will handpick the winners based on the quality of the screenshot, though points for creativity and passion will be awarded based on the accompanying (very brief) text. Winners will be announced the following Monday in a post here at diabolical on August 9th.
