Yesterday I posted the audio-only versions of my two-part interview with the cast of The Legend Of Vox Machina (one of my top shows of 2022) here on diabolical as episodes of my podcast (Part 1, Part 2).
These are some of my favorite interviews I’ve ever had the pleasure of conducting simply because it was with such a big, fun group of people who play such wonderful characters not just in Vox Machina and Critical Role, but in all sorts of animated shows and video games. Ashley Johnson also plays Ellie in The Last Of Us for goodness sakes—one of my favorite video game characters ever! (Now an awesome show on HBO).
So anyways, I’m posting a link to my piece in Forbes if you want to read a bit about their characters, as well as the two video versions of the interviews below. I’d like to do more interviews especially on my YouTube channel because I just have a lot of fun talking with creative, fascinating people.
So expect more of that moving ahead. I really prefer video/audio interviews to written ones also because, despite being a writer, I think the actual conversational nature of a discussion is just more fun. I also really enjoyed this one because, well, there’s a part of me that would love to be doing what these guys are doing. I love acting! I love doing voices! I love playing D&D! As much as I really do think I have a dream job, doing that for a living is . . . just spectacular. Maybe someday . . . a boy can dream.
In any case, enjoy!
Vox Machina Cast Interview Part 1
In Part 1 I talk with Ashley Johnson (Pike), Matthew Mercer (various voices), Taliesin Jaffe (Percy) and Travis Willingham (Grog).
Vox Machina Cast Interview Part 2
In Part 2 I talk with Liam O’Brien (Vax), Marisha Ray (Keyleth) and Sam Riegel (Scanlan).
If you enjoy this content please let me know. And if there are other interesting people that you think I should try to interview, shout out in the comments! You can subscribe to my YouTube channel here, and as always I’d love it if you’d sign up for this diabolical newsletter!
The Legend Of Vox Machina returns to Amazon Prime Video on January 20th. Believe me when I say, it’s the best fantasy on Amazon and one of the best fantasy shows out there—far, far better than The Rings Of Power and The Wheel Of Time, that’s for sure.
